110 Acre Park

The Concept Master Plan for the 110 Park Property has been completed. It was presented to the Park Board at their Board meeting on February 1st, 2012.

History of this Project

On May 5, 2011 the City of St. Charles officially dedicated the area formally known as the Missouri Mobile Home Estates and other neighboring properties to the Parks & Recreation Department for its development, care and maintenance as a City Park. Currently the Parks & Recreation Department call this property the “100 Acre Park”. The actual park acreage is 110.53 acres.

Jacobs Engineering Group were hired as a consultant on this project to complete a “Master Plan” for the property. The project is expected to take 20 weeks.

The kick off meeting was held with the “100 acre task team” on August 3rd, 2011.

The Final Presentation was done at the February 1st, 2012 Park Board Meeting.

The Master Plan process was broken down into 3 stages.

Inventory and Site Analysis (4 weeks) 
Prepare existing conditions, prepare opportunities and constraints base map with documentation.

Park Programming (2 weeks)
Hold 1st public workshop. Analyze results.

Master Plan Development (14 weeks)
Develop 2-3 schematic design concepts with graphics. Review concepts. Hold 2nd public workshop. Analyze findings. Review draft master plan. Refine master plan. Prepare a rendering and present final master plan to Park Board.
